How much does it cost?

Apple and Kiwi juiced

I think this is pretty good value as a basic juice, we bought a bag of Organic Apples that were decent value at £2 for 7, the kiwis again came in packet of 6 and cost just £1 from our local supermarket

If you split the cost of the fruit equally it comes to roughly £1.80 for the juice and it made enough for 4 of the glasses that you see in the image below, Wade and I are greedy though so we drank 2 each. At 45p a glass I reckon it’s decent value.

In total the juice yield was around 550ml

The health benefits of Apple and Kiwi

You’ll note that the Apples we used were organic but I peeled them just the sameas they had come from the local supermarket and had been packed in a plastic bag. A simple rinse under the tap would probably of sufficed but I like to be as sure as I can that the only thing going into the juice is the natural fruit

Apples

Apples are a rich source of Vitamin C, phyto-nutrients and bioflavinoids, apples are also rich in beta-carotine, which we need for healthy skin, eyes, and for a healthy immune system. Apple juice also helps with nutrient synthesis and metabolism because it contains B-complex vitamins like riboflavin, thiamin and pyridoxine.

Kiwi fruits

Kiwifruit Actinidia deliciosa

Kiwi’s are one of our favorite fruits, not only are they easy to use, they keep for a long time and they have a delicious tangy flavour. Not only are they tasty, they happen to contain a fantastic array of beneficial vitamins and minerals including high levels of Vitamin C, K and E

Summary

It’s easy to get the produce you need, it’s easy to make, it’s easy to drink at any time of the day and it tastes absolutely divine.
