If you’re into juicing (and I know most of you are) then you’ve doubtless heard of the Angel Juicer.

Juice heads crave it, Kitchenalia fans covet it and everyone else thinks you’re crazy spending that kind of money on a kitchen appliance but please bare with me a moment while I justify this seemingly outlandish purchase……

I’ll come clean and admit it, I’ve been known in the past to splash out a little when it comes to treating Wade and myself to items of a healing nature but I now stand before you to confess my juicing sins. At one point I owned 2 Angel juicers at the same time! Crazy I know but I had to do it and here’s why.

Discovering Angels

Around 10 years ago a good friend of mine down on the south coast of Spain started telling me stories about this new Wheatgrass thing he had discovered, apparently, it could cure almost any ailment including Cancer (his words not mine) and it was all the rage in the health community. My friend was so taken with the idea, he started a business growing and processing Wheatgrass, he made everything from frozen shots to mixed fruit ice lollies.

Naturally, I had to go and take a look so I booked a flight and off I went.

[blockquote author=”” pull=”normal”]He’s lost his mind[/blockquote]

My friend Robert, a larger-than-life, no-nonsense Londoner with a booming voice and a personality to match was standing proudly beside his shiny new machine grinning like a Cheshire cat, bursting to tell me all about his new business venture and how he had paid nearly one thousand Euros for this new ‘Angel juicer’

Apparently, this revolutionary machine was the key to future health and prosperity because it was designed to extract the juice from Wheatgrass of all things. I thought ‘He’s lost his mind’ and watched in awe as Robert stripped down the machine to show off the shiny grinding gears, admittedly they looked impressive but they didn’t look worth the thousand Euros he had paid for them. I bit my tongue and let Robert wax lyrical about his new venture all the time thinking that this was a really bad idea.

I left Robert and his Wheatgrass farm in sunny Spain but made a point of returning every now and again to sample the delightful climate and take in the free Wheatgrass for which I had now started developing a taste. It wasn’t until a couple of years later that Wade and I discovered the full potential of Wheatgrass as a tool in the fight against Rheumatoid Arthritis and that’s when I really started taking notice.

Bitten by the juicing bug

After buying several of the cheaper (so-called)  Wheatgrass juicers, I found that none of them were really up to the job of chomping through tray after tray of freshly cut Wheatgrass without disintegrating. I decided the only course of action was to buy one of these Angel juicers for Wade and myself! Had I gone mad? Or was Robert right all along? Whatever the answer, I finally took the plunge and made the decision to buy an Angel juicer.

Back then I was the proprietor of a soft furnishings company in Nottingham and although the hours were very long the rewards were worth it. Wade had started to feel a little better and was now able to get out of bed for the first time in a very long time so Wade would come and help me down at the factory a couple of days a week, mainly in the office with website issues and admin and sometimes with general labor and Upholstery, the flexible hours and lack of any real pressure seemed to be a great help to Wade’s recovery, getting out of the house and doing something constructive can be a real boon when you’ve spent so long sitting at home or lying in bed but now there was another problem, we didn’t have a juicer at the factory.

I took the decision to buy another Angel juicer so that we could have fresh Wheatgrass juice in the office at work, after taking a big deep breath, I drew out my credit card one more time and ordered a second Angel 7500 from Juiceland in Liverpool. I have to admit that it stung a little at £850 and the realization that I’d now spent a dizzying £1700 on juicers was a little difficult to comprehend but if it was the key to helping my twin brother Wade recover from what had been a completely debilitating health crisis then it was worth every penny.

Curious customers

Owing to the fact we had set up our Wheatgrass growing operation in our furniture showroom it started to attract a lot of attention, people would come in to see the beautiful furniture and inevitably start to ask what was going on with the 6 feet tall racks of Wheatgrass that were growing and germinating in front of the huge Victorian windows, we would be accused of growing Cannabis on more than one occasion but plenty of people felt compelled to ask what we were growing and if they could try the stuff, we were more than happy to oblige.

Some of the guys who tried our Wheatgrass are still taking the juice for their good health to this day and I consider that a great success.

Why am I telling you all of this?

Well, it would be very easy for me to sit here and write a review of the Angel juicer by reeling off the Angel juicing companies spec sheet, grabbing a video from Youtube and posting it here, and telling you all about how efficient the Angel juicer is or how good the quality of the juice is but to be fair, you’ve already probably read a million of those boring reviews and if your seriously thinking about purchasing an Angel juicer then the only step that’s left is to justify the cost, so that’s what this is really all about.

[blockquote author=”” ]I’m left in no doubt that nothing else comes close to catering for our juicing needs[/blockquote]

So many websites these days are primarily concerned with making a sale, getting your email address, and offering you no real first-hand experience on what it’s like to live with and use a product on a daily basis but Wade and myself have personally used one of these machines every single day for over 8 years and we can testify that this machine, absolutely is, the Rolls Royce of Juicers. I’m left with no doubt that nothing else comes close to catering to our juicing needs.

Angel juicer! Can you really justify the cost?

If your husband, your wife, your partner, loved one or whoever is suffering from the debilitating and terrible condition known as Rheumatoid Arthritis they are going to need your support and lots of it! If you, yourself are suffering from RA then you are going to need the best support systems possible to help you with your long-term recovery and that’s what the Angel juicer really is, it’s not just a juicer, it’s a dependable source of high-quality nutrition that you can access at the flick of a switch, it’s easy to clean, it’s easy to use and it’s virtually bulletproof.

angel juicer and fruits

Many times in the past Wade and I had been left feeling cheated by poor-quality juicers or found ourselves in a position where we couldn’t continue with our juicing and health regimen because we had chosen to buy inferior juicers that use plastic juice strainers, these inevitably break after about 5 minutes and you are left with a feeling of helplessness for weeks as you wait for the parts to be shipped from China, it’s no fun! Replacement parts aren’t cheap and the time spent trying to find these elusive parts is another annoying distraction you can well do without.

We have owned our Angel juicer for around 8 years and it has performed heroically every time it has been pressed into service, the value of that can only be measured against the sense of loss you feel when your juice is taken away and your recovery is put on hold because you neglected to spend that little bit extra on a juicer that can handle everything you throw at it.

Mores the point, when I closed the furniture factory last year I sold our other Angel juicer on Ebay and got 90% my money back. The other plastic juicers that I had to keep buying the plastic screens for £25 a pop…. I gave them away and lost a few hundred pounds.

I can’t promise you a healing miracle from God but I do know an Angel when I see one.
